Just Some Pics

So what's been happening with our family you ask? I thought I would share with you some pics.

To start with our family traveled to Texas to share with Courtney her graduation from HS on Saturday, May 27th. We got to spend some time with Bruner family and to have breakfast with the newly weds, Dave and Karen Norvell. Fun time!

On Thursday June 15th Sara completed her first year of grammar school. Way to go Sara! She received a trophy for being a super student! Like I said once before, look out for this one! Now, one down and eleven to go.

Then too we continue to tend our small garden. These are our thornless blackberries. Each white flower should become a delicious blackberry with just a few weeks of sunshine. Isn't God marvelous!

And then Walt's been fishing again. This is a spring run Chinook salmon about 900 lbs. - well he (er...she, it was a female, or "hen") fought like it anyway! But beautiful fish, eh?

And lastly this past Saturday Walt and Pam explored Fort Vancouver, just over the Columbia River from Portland. Fort Vancouver was the head quarters for the Hudson Bay Fur Trading Company for several early decades of the 19th century . At it's height it housed approximately 600 people in and around the walled comp0und. Of course this was shortly after Lewis and Clark made their voyage of discovery, and prior to the Civil War. Quite interesting time as we viewed aritifacts on display, and pondered how different and difficult life was in this part of the country at that time in our country's history.

"That's...that's...that's all folks!"
