Sara's School Picture - Spring 2008
Thought I would share with all our readers (both of them...smile) Sara's latest school picture. Wow, do they grow up fast. She is nine now and such a fine young lady. She just returned Sunday from her Spring Break trip to New Mexico to spend time with her Dad. She had a great time. She has finished with ice skating lessons for the time being...she is so good now, she just takes off and skates beautifully. But she is going to start with gymnastics on Monday. That should be fun and intersting. And then her school class is going to participate in swimming lessons for two weeks in mid-April, so that will be very good. Sara loves the water, but has not ever had any official swimming lessons. So this will be real good for her.
AND our weather has warmed up. We had our first 60 degree day this week! Of course all the bulb flowers have already bloomed and the trees are budding out. It is a great time of the year.
Today, April 2, I take my 8th chemo treatment. This last session went much easier than the previous six. The doctor discontinued one drug of the group I am taking feeling that my body had about all that it could take. I have some residual tingling in my hands and feet that is anoying but not debilitating. The hope is that this will go away with time, although we have been told that it could be a permanent condition. I hope not. It is like walking on feet that have fallen asleep and are just waking up, if you know that feeling. But God is good, and as He has shown Himself so faithful in all aspects of this trial, we are trusting Him to help us to endure this and to overcome it. I will be updating my Medical blog soon, so more details then.
Hope all of you are enjoying spring. It is a great time of the year. ...and soon the Springers will fill the rivers...aaaaugh...get new line, sharpen all hooks, patch the waders...find where I placed Stanley...the fish are coming!!
Walt for the three of us.
