A Saturday Good Morning to You

Good Saturday morning to you!
Isn't there something special about Saturday mornings. Don't you just love 'em? We went to bed last night with a tummy full of fresh peach cobbler, woke early to the sound of gentle rain on the roof, and of course gallons and gallons of the freshest air on earth drifting in through open windows.
News from here? The great news is that Sara arrived home this week from her summer time with her Dad in New Mexico. She came home tanned and happy for which we are very thankful. She has not had any "summer" time here since she left just after school was out, so we are heading Monday to Cannon Beach and camping at the Wright's Campground for three days. Should be a great time. The weather is supposed to be "August beach'ey" so great! I think we will walk the beach, kick some waves, think about how Buster would have enjoyed the time, poke our nose in some of the interesting shops in downtown, fly our family garage-sale special kite, and of course have a weeny roast on the beach and watch the sunset. Looking forward to it. As a young grammer school boy living at Cannon Beach for a short couple of years, I played in the woods behind the Wright's Campground. But I have never stayed and camped on their property, so this should be fun.

We hope to conclude the summer with one more outing before school starts, this time back to the mountains and Trillium Lake. Want to put our pontoon boat on the lake and chase some of those wiley trout...smile. It is also just an incredibly beautiful place situated as it is on the shoulder of Mt. Hood and just an hour's plus drive away.
Well, that's the news and "so now you know the 'west' of the story. " -smile.
I'll conclude by sharing a few more pics of our Washington Coast vacation.
Enjoy your every Saturday!

Walt, for the three of us.

When we come for a summer visit you have to promise to take us to Cannon Beach and do the same things. WE only got to go when it was windy and cold,so I am anxious for the complete Cannon Beach Experience!
